My life is similar to the poet in "Madly singing in the city", in some ways. when I complete something that takes a long time, like homework, I feel like celebrating and everything seems beautiful when I finish my homework because I have my own spare time to do whatever I want. Wonderful things to do run through my head when i'm doing homework so it feels amazing when I finish it.

In my opinion the only poem i can relate to is Daniels Duck because i felt like that when I lost my first dog,he got put down when I was little and i used to love him.I feel you can use this poem to relate to people also because everyone gets upset when the loose somebody close to them. It is very like the poem 'Do not go gentle into that night' because it shares the theme of death.

Daniel's Duck is the poem I can relate to. When I was little my dog had to be put down. I didn't know what was going on, because no one told me what they are doing and and what was going to happen him. I felt confused and upset. My parents didn't feel bad about what they had to do they just told me it had to be done. I also had the same imagination like Daniel had about the duck coming back to life. I thought my dog was still there around me and when I tried to touch him, my parents told me that the dog is gone and not coming back...

I can relate to the poem "Daniels Duck" as a similar situation happen to me when I was younger. My dog was killed suddenly as a car had hit him. I didn't know what happened as I was only very young. My mother had not yet thought me about death. I was so confused. I thought the dog had gone to sleep on the road. Even though it wasn't very pleasant it did get me ready for life in a way. In the poem "Daniel's Duck a similar situation happens only a duck gets killed and the boy is also very confused and unsure of what had happened.

The poem Do Not Go Gentle into that Good Night I can really relate to me. As i know how the poet felt scared and didn't want to his father. I felt this way when someone in my family was put on a life support machine in America. This made me feel so sad as i couldn't be there with him on his death bed and prayed for him just to pull through. Everybody was so strong for him believing he would he would be ok. It was the thought of not seeing him again made my heart skip a beat. When i read this poem i just think of him which brings a tear to my eye, which probably also happens to the poet.

This poem can affect many readers from different perspectives. Many readers have suffered some kind of loss mainly death. This theme is the most affective that can describe itself throught the poem without actually poiting out the feelings.

I can relate to "madly singing in the city" as when I finished my junior cert, I felt like a weight was taking of my shoulder, I was over the moon. when I out with my friend celebrating , we were just like the people singing in the early hours. That we could lay back and enjoy the rest of the summer was such a relief, I didn't have a care in the world as long as i was having fun.

I can relate to 'Do Not Go Gentle Ino That Good Night' as i know how the poet felt of losing someone special and who also meant the world to them. I went through this stage earlier in life and it was a horrible feeling. You tell them to not give up but you dont know how much pain their going through, and you just have to accept that their time is up in life. You'd rather see them out of all their pain and in a better place than to be alive and in misery. It's really hard to cope with when your loved ones are gone. They say it gets better in the long run but it doesn't it just gets worse each day.

I can relate "Madly Singing In The Rain" i remember preparing for a huge gig in fairways Dundalk. I was opening for Xfactor Finalists MK1 & District3. I remember the absolute pressure of getting ready. I missed sound check and had to perform with no practise. I worked so hard and my set but i didnt get to practise it on stage. Its almost like studying for an exam without looking over it. I gave it my all and the crowd Loved me !. Once it was done it was like all my effort was used for a great good! I was soo Happy it was completed.

I can relate to the poem 'Do not go gentle into that dark night', as I can put myself into the poets shoes while he was reading this poem. I aswell, know what it is like to loose someone out of your life that has ment so much to you for so long, and how much you would do to get them back. It shows the image of love and pain at the same time
