Life without Mammy and Daddy.
Did you ever have that tragic time when Mammy goes away for a few days or a week and you're lost? It’s not fun. Teenagers have this wild idea that when you're left by yourself in your house for a few independent days that its: All gaff parties and do what you want lifestyle. Which honestly is true. But what about the washing? The cleaning? The stomach rumbling hot dinners? The lifts? Plus the many other things we rely on our Mammies and Daddies, but mostly mammies for. Well read this post and see if it’s just me who relies on my mammy and daddy for a lot but wishes I had my freedom at the same time.

The thought of those few days alone - it’s what all us freedom-wanting, independent, mad teenagers want. Well me anyway. Just the thought of my house - my rules, for a few free days is overwhelming exciting. The first thing that comes to my head is.... Party. But would I really do it? Would you? Sure what mad teenager wouldn’t? But apart from the fact of being free and doing whatever my crazy head wants I can’t clean my room never mind clean up after my own mental gaffer. But the point is without my mother telling me to clean my pig sty (my room) it’d be a pig farm.
I’m always thinking “yes! They're going away for the weekend”. But I never think of the uneasy life ahead. The trying to figure out how to use the dreaded washing machine, how to keep the childlike dogs alive, or even how to get from A to B. But come on who doesn’t want to throw a kick ass party? It’s every teenagers dream. Let’s just say the movie Project X sums it up.
Yeah some things are very hard to do for myself when my Mammy and Daddy are away and yeah with some things I wouldn’t have a clue what I’m at. But in the end I am a dreamer and I can’t simply wait to be my own person and move out. I just want to be like my own little king in my own castle or what I call “house of dreams”. But what optimistic teenager can’t.
So whats your life like when you’re on your own? Chaotic? Scary? Independent? Or is it what you want? Do you want to be without your Mammy and Daddy doing everything for you? In the end the answers most likely going to be yeah but it’s not all what we think that’s for sure. But what in life is. I would be lost without my Mammy and Daddy but I’m overwhelmingly excited to be free as a bird. But what can I say my Mammy and Daddy are like two pillars in my life. But only two more long years of what every hormonal teenager wants..... NAGGING.
