How did this poem make you feel?
Do you think that the poem is more poignant (sad) because it is based on real life events?
We read a poem by Seamus Heaney today. It is a very poignant poem, as it is about the death of a four year old boy.

This poem makes me feel depressed because it should not have happened. It makes you think about what you have and what we take for granted and what would happen if it all ended the very next day. When you read this poem you ask your self do i really have problems because the author had to live with his only memory of his brother in a coffin.

Yea I find this sad because people have to go through it all the time. But I think that it is not fair to have a part of your family ripped out of your life its very painful. It is like having a plaster ripped off really fast it is sore for a while but then it heals slowly its just like the loss of a family.

Poem is very sad. But one should make in mind that life doen't end here. others have to move. This is the law of nature and all have to follow it.
