Exam papers 2013:

You have just had a bad experience in a local restaurant. You were not satisfied with the response of the restaurant's staff to your complaints at the time. Write a review on the restaurant's web page in which you outline your complaints and describe the response of the staff. You should also suggest ways for the restaurant to improve the service that it provides to its customers.

This Comment is for the knowledge of customers and the owner of the restaurant. My name is Sarah Donnelly and I have a complaint or should I say complaints!? This is about your staff and your restaurant its self.

I got to the restaurant at ten to six , my table was meant to be ready for six. We didn't get seated till quarter past six I was not happy about this. So we ordered and then got our starters. As I was about to dig in I realised there was a massive hair in my food. I called one of the waiters over and asked for a new plate , he said "There was no need for a new plate" as he was pulling the hair from my food and walked away. I was totally shocked , I taught it was so unprofessional of him. I couldn't even eat it then as his hands were on it !!! Another problem with your staff was that there were no knifes or forks on the table when the food came . So as you do I called the waiter over I asked him could he get me some knifes and forks then he said with a totally bother tone "Oh really? Get them yourself" At that point I was about to explode! I turned around and then told him "don't even bother" and me and my friend walked out.

I think you need to get new staff and teach them some respect for their customers and some manners. I know for certain I will never be eating here again !

My name is Laura Finnegan and I have a complaint about your restaurant and your staff also.

I came to your restaurant earlier on this evening with my friend. She had booked the meal for seven o'clock and we arrived right on time, but didn't get seated until twenty-five past seven as the place was full and very busy. I was very unhappy about this, but forgot about it soon enough. The waitress came and ordered our food, but she did not smile or talk in a friendly tone. After about ten minutes the food came. I had ordered a hamburger but to my surprise it had not been cooked properly at all. The meat was still pink and it wasn't hot enough. I called the waitress over and told her about my problem, she replied "there's nothing I can do, order something different", shocked and annoyed I walked out of the restaurant, but on my way out I slipped just before the door onto my backside on water which was spilled all over the floor. At this moment I am still in pain

I think your restaurant needs to improve its service alot. Your staff needs to be more polite and the restaurant needs to be clean and taken care of. Your chef's need to be more careful with how they cook and not to rush even when the restaurant is busy!

Hi my name is Amylee Kessie. I attended you restaurant last night. Your services were appauling, and your staff is so rude and ignorant.

Last night 16-09-13 i booked a table for two. That was fine your waiter's took our orders, which was one steak medium rare, potatoe's and veg and a chicken curry no onion.

The food took fifty minutes to be cooked and when it was persented it was not up to your four star standard as your restaurant is rated. My steak was under, cooked basically raw. My potatoe's were stone cold and there was even a hair on the top.The other dish was also cold and there was onions included, when we pacifically asked for none. When we alerted the waiter with these problems, we were told that it was our fault for not eating to food quick enough.

I really think you need better mannered staff and a proper chef. I will be telling all my friends about how badly your restaurant is and won't be eating here again.
