We have decided to make our blog more student friendly ie. "Miss that background is crap!". Do you like our new cover picture?!

We have been asked to write an article for the St. Oliver's Year Book about our blogging experiences. We attached photos to the article too.
Our blog is about the character Emer from 'A Greyhound of a Girl'. We pretended we were a famous interviewer and we had Emer sitting in front of us. We hope you enjoy it.
Our task was to write a review of 'A Greyhound of a Girl'. There were three of us in the group and we each had different jobs to do. We hope you enjoy our blog! This is your new blog post. Click here and start typing, or drag in elements from the top bar.
We decided to write a letter in response to a Sunday Independent article last week. The article called Roddy Doyle a rude man and we disagree with this. Enjoy!
For our blog post, we argued a debate for the motion. We each tried our best to work together. Hope you like it!
Our blog post is related to 'A Greyhound of a Girl' because we imagined what the front page of the newspaper would have looked like the day after Tansey walked into the hospital and scared everyone.
In our blog post, we describe an eerie looking picture. It is related to 'A Greyhound of a Girl', as the novel is about a ghost.
This is our blog entry on "A Greyhound Of A Girl" . We wrote a poem based on family. We decided to write a poem based on family because the book is mainly about family and how they come together during hard times. Hope you enjoy our poem.
This is our blog on A Greyhound Of A Girl. It is linked to the book because Emer and Tansey, Mary's grandmother and great grandmother, were born in the 20th Century. These scrolls are explaining what was happening at that time. We hope you enjoy our blog and learn something from it!
Over the next few days, 19p will be blogging about the book 'A Greyhound of a Girl' by Roddy Doyle. They will be uploading their blogs in pairs and responding to everyone else's blogs. Good luck guys! ;-)
In the meantime, why not have a look through the comics we've created using Comic Life! 19p completing their questionnaireCongratulations to 19p who received 89% in their Class Dojo report this term. The students have been excelling at their English classwork and homework. We have been doing a lot of group work together and 19p have proved they are well able for it!
The girls have rocked in the last couple of months! Student of the Month for February goes to Karolina and Student of the Month for March goes to Buky. I would also like to give a special mention to Lija, who has worked very hard this term. Joseph and Dylan B have done a great job of holding it all together for the boys this term. Well done lads. Unfortunately we did not meet our target of 72% for our special treat at the end of this term. The main culprit has been a failure to complete the homework. This is very disappointing, as 19e demonstrated earlier in this term that they are able to do their homework to a very high standard.
If any of you think that you have any suggestions or ideas that could improve the level of homework, please leave a comment. 19e are a class of many talents. Some students excel at reading while others are a whizz on the computer. Our classmate, Dylan, moved to another class this term and we miss him a lot. He always brought up our class points! Several students stood out this term: Emma and Jordan always keep us on our toes with their excellent and insightful questions; Nathan and Sandra displayed their great reading ability; Katy's enthusiasm and sunny demeanor have been positively infectious! However two students stood out more than others: Congratulations to Jack, who receives the Student of the Month award for February. Student of the Month for March goes to Molly.Excellent work guys. |
